Russia/Ukraine Invasion Report #11

Published weekly by CCI/Ukraine Staff

“Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn.” Romans 12:15

  • For Oleg’s (Oksana’s husband) quick recovery after his injury in combat, and that Oksana was able to travel and visit Oleg in the hospital.
  • For our camp directors who are working on opportunities to run camps in western Ukraine this summer and in west Europe for the refugees.
  • For camp YC who is housing 150 internally displaced orphans, the 20 seminary students serving as counselors and for Tatiana, (CCI Ukraine staff) for recently training these counselors.
  • For the camp committee in Country X; it’s strong faith and special prayers for the brothers and sisters in Ukraine, and for its desire to operate camps this summer.
  • For each donation KVI has already received for the Ukraine war relief services our camps continue to provide in Ukraine.

  • On May 13 one of our instructors is teaching a course on “how to talk about the war without re-traumatizing the war victims.”
  • We are continuing to raise funds to assist 14 camps who have applied for funding to help pay their expenses for utilities, food, bed linen and medications for internally displaced people they are serving.
  • The 20 seminary students have already been counseling the 150 orphans at Camp YC for 45 days while still carrying on their seminary studies. They are exhausted. The camp is recruiting additional counselors.
  • A camp in Country X is running a one-day seminar for Sunday school teachers from the entire central region, teaching them how to not only focus on evangelism, also on discipleship.

  • For God’s continued protection for our staff, our families, and our camps. Missiles are exploding near some of our camps.
  • For Tatiana, our staff member, who is working on providing a visa for her aging mother to accompany her to the USA where she will be safe in the care of other family members.
  • For replacement counselors at Camp YC; for God’s love and Word to touch the minds and hearts of the orphans.
  • For God’s blessing on the Sunday school teachers’ seminar in Country X; that the Pastors and Sunday school teachers will be motivated and inspired to continue their ministry during the Covid pandemic.
  • For funding urgently needed to help the camps, that are serving refugees, pay their expenses.
